How long will my session last?
Depending on which investment option you choose, a family, maternity, or newborn session will last between 45 and 60 minutes give or take. Typically that is really all we need in order to accurately capture your connection, emotions, and phase of life now. If time is up and we are still having fun and in the midst of some great shots, I'll go over by a bit.
When will I see my photos?
Following your session and once full payment has been received, images will be presented to you in a password protected, watermarked online gallery two weeks afterward. I am usually extremely excited to get editing after we have such a fun session, so it's my goal to return them as soon as possible.
Once your gallery is complete, the images will be uploaded to Pixieset and I will email you a link to view your gallery. Once payment has been completed and you have confirmed your investment option with any additional images you'd like to include, I will email you a zip file to download your images straight onto your computer or mobile devise. You can download at a quality suitable for social media, as well as Full Quality for printing. It’s important to note that the photos viewed before choosing your package will have my logo on them. Once you have chosen your favorites, the logo will be removed. Feel free to share the images you purchase!
How many photos do I get?
Depending on which investment option you choose, you will receive between 35 (see Sounds So Sweet package)-60 images (see Get out of the Grey package) presented in an online gallery for you to download. Additional images are also available for purchase.
What should I bring to my shoot?
Family & Maternity session on location: A nice blanket. If there are any special symbolic accessories that you'd like to incorporate into a maternity session, (i.e.: favorite sports team paraphernalia, the ultrasound photo) feel free to bring along.
Family & Newborn sessions at home: Feel free to tidy up, yet not too much as you want to reflect your house in this phase of life. Have a few activities you enjoy doing at home at the ready (i.e.: toy train set, baking favorite cookies). Open up shades and curtains to enhance natural light in your home.
What should I wear?
You don't need to be super matchy matchy, yet somewhat coordinated outfits in mostly neutral tones work great. Adding a pop or two of bold colors enhance your style. If the weather is misty, please feel free to add raincoats, boots, & an umbrella. All of my clients currently receive access to a free online stylist!
When is payment required?
Retainer of 50% is due in full within 7 days of making a booking in order to secure your date. Remainder due on the day of the session.
What happens if we have to cancel or the weather is bad?
If you wish to cancel your session, you must give a minimum of 48 hours notice, and 50% of your session fee will be refunded. The session fee can be used to transfer the booking to another date.
The decision to reschedule due to weather will be based on the location, the severity of the weather, and the age of the children involved.
Will my photos be on social media?
By participating in the session, you are agreeing to allow your images to be posted on my facebook and Instagram pages, my website, and used for any promotions. Please let me know if you are not happy for your images to be on social media.
What if my children are not cooperating?
Children can be so unpredictable. I find moments like these all a part of the process. It is actually in many of these moments that we can see our true connections, love, and emotions shine through. Do what you might usually do and embrace the beauty of the situation. Maybe we let a squirmy child jump it out or run around with a quick game of tag. Maybe you spend time feeding or shushing and rocking your newborn. It's all a part of the story and beauty in this phase of life and deserves to be documented too.
