There's something about summer that always makes me feel like time slows down. There’s something about fall that always makes me feel like time speeds up.
Maybe it's the way an hour spent picking blueberries and eating some along the way feels like the best day ever and adding a visit to the river and for ice cream after just freezes those moments for forever. Maybe it's the way you notice those buzzing bees in the sunflowers or the wild flowers growing on the roadside.
Maybe it’s the way golden light hits the trees at Lincoln Park, or how the breeze at Seahurst Beach carries the scent of salt and damp leaves. Maybe it’s the way the year begins its gentle closing—one season folding into another, kids growing a little taller, routines settling in, and the holidays whispering around the corner.
One thing the two seasons have in common though is that they are both the seasons of memory.
Each year, I offer just a few short sessions to help you press pause and hold on to those moments that so easily slip by.
These sessions aren’t about perfection. They’re about presence.
Let me help you remember what this season of your life felt like.
Blueberry Adventure Minis- August 8th AM
Adventure to North Bend to pick blueberries like Little Sal and Little Bear and their mothers. Frolic in the fields while Mt. Si dominates in the background. Kerplink, kerplank, kerplunk.
These sessions are ideal for families that love adventuring together, that try to stock up on as many fresh local berries anyway this summer, that want to play and spend quality time together this summer and avoid the crowds of fall.
*No pets allowed for this one
Sunflower Minis- August 22 PM
Adventure to Duvall area to run through the most exciting sunflower maze. See which wildflowers spring up nearby. Find fun photo ops in nooks and crannies of the maze.
This is for those looking for a short a sweet way to document a mini adventure with naturally gorgeous flowers all around. I've done these minis in both a heat wave and a random summer rainstorm and both types of weather have still proved to be a fun adventure and made for great photos to cherish for a long time.
Lincoln Park Minis – October 24 AM
Tucked among the tall trees and overlooking Puget Sound, Lincoln Park glows in October. It’s where crunchy leaves, driftwood forts, and filtered golden light all meet in one perfect morning.
These sessions are ideal for families who want an easygoing moment together before the whirlwind of fall really takes over. You’ll walk, play, laugh. I’ll guide you gently while letting your connection lead the way.
Whether it’s your toddler’s wild curls, your teenager’s sheepish grin, or the way your partner still looks at you like that—this is a chance to remember what your love looks like in this season of your life.
Seahurst Beach Minis – November 14 AM
This spot always surprises people. It’s quieter than most beaches, with tall grasses framing the water, and a wide stretch of rocks that glisten in the autumn sun. If you're a family who finds your peace in nature—or just wants a bit of breathing room from the busy fall pace—Seahurst is for you.
Kids throw rocks into the water. Parents breathe deep and let the tension fall away. These sessions feel like an exhale. Gentle, grounding, real.
And in early November? That soft gray-blue sky over the Sound? Pure magic.
Tree Farm Minis – November 15 AM| Carnation area
For those who crave a little extra holiday spirit, these sessions are set in a peaceful tree farm in the Carnation area. Think flannel, evergreens, and the kind of joy that only exists when the air smells faintly of pine and the holidays are just around the corner.
These minis are especially perfect for holiday cards, gifts for grandparents, or just making a tradition out of documenting your family as you grow each year.
Come ready to play, snuggle, and breathe in the season.
Holidays at Home Minis – First Week of December
These are the most intimate of all my mini sessions. I come to your home—your real, lived-in space—and together we photograph the magic you’ve made inside of it.
Lighting the candles, baking the cookies, trimming the tree (or celebrating in your own way). These sessions honor whatever the holidays look like in your family. No forced smiles or fake snow. Just real joy, real connection, and the kind of memories that your kids will someday try to recreate in their own homes.
Whether you celebrate Hannukah, Christmas, Diwali, Kwanzaa, Festivus or something else completely, Holidays at Home is for anyone who wants to slow down, embrace their own version of celebration, and create tangible memories of this cozy, chaotic, beautifully imperfect season.
A Gentle Reminder
I ask that you only begin the booking process if you’re truly ready. Holding a spot takes it away from another family—and I know how cherished these sessions have become for many of you.
Also: I understand fall sports and activity schedules may still be up in the air. There will be a little wiggle room to adjust later, but please be willing to prioritize these photos if they matter to you. Let’s plan with kindness, flexibility, and thoughtfulness.
