Bringing home a new baby is beautiful—and let’s be honest—overwhelming. Between sleepless nights, cluster feeds, and trying to remember the last time you drank your coffee while it was still warm, the idea of packing up a diaper bag and heading to a studio might feel impossible. I get it. That’s why I bring the session to you.
No need to stress about whether your baby is sleeping, crying, feeding, or needing a diaper change. I follow their lead—there’s no ticking clock, no pressure to perform, no need for “perfect.” If baby needs a break, we pause. If your toddler melts down, we can let them go get a snack. If your dog wants to photobomb, I’ll be ready.
Worried about the laundry on the couch or the dishes in the sink? Please don’t be. The lived-in backdrop of your life right now—snack crumbs, cozy clutter, construction dust—tells a story you’ll want to remember more than you think. I speak from experience. When my own kids were born, we were living in a remodel. Walls half-mudded, tools everywhere, and I skipped newborn photos because I thought it wasn’t “photo ready.” I regret that more than any mess.
Your home is exactly where your family’s story is unfolding—and that’s where the magic happens.
Let’s preserve this raw, beautiful chapter—no packing, no pressure, just real life.
Ready to document your first days together?
It doesn’t have to be. Newborn life is messy, cozy, and beautifully real—and that’s exactly what I want to document. Your lived-in space tells part of your story, whether you’re surrounded by burp cloths, boxes of wipes, or a couch full of laundry. Perfection isn’t the goal—connection is.
You just had a baby. You’re tired, healing, and maybe haven’t showered in a couple of days. That’s okay. My in-home newborn sessions are relaxed and baby-led. There’s no pressure to pose or perform. No need for makeup or to hide your postpartum body. I’m here to document honest, loving moments between you and your baby—just as you are. Your children will one day treasure these images of you together.
They’re memories of how life felt in those first wild, beautiful weeks. The sleepless nights, the snuggles, the chaos, the love. It’s not about staged perfection—it’s about preserving this fleeting chapter in the place where your story is unfolding: home.

If you are hoping to document your sweet babe when they are brand new, book as soon as you can. I typically schedule for two weeks after your due date, realizing babe may come earlier or you may want a few days later. My weekdays are flexible to reschedule as we know more. My sessions are very go with the flow and don't require a super sleepy baby, so if you are just feeling up for photos at 4-6 weeks, we can still preserve that special newborn love.
Children can be so unpredictable. I find moments like these all a part of the process. It is actually in many of these moments that we can see our true connections, love, and emotions shine through. Do what you might usually do and embrace the beauty of the situation. Maybe we let a squirmy child jump it out or run around with a quick game of tag. Maybe you spend time feeding or shushing and rocking your newborn. It's all a part of the story and beauty in this phase of life and deserves to be documented too.
Absolutely! Whether your pet joins for a few key photos at the beginning or the end, or you would like them to be present during the whole session is really up to you. Pets are family!
If you have a pet and don't feel like bringing them for photos, that's ok too!
Newborn sessions will last between 60 to 90 minutes give or take. That is really all we need in order to accurately document your connection, emotions, and phase of life now.
Following your session and once full payment has been received, images will be presented to you in a password protected, online proof gallery a few days afterward. Once you make your final selections and paid for any additional images, final edits will be returned within 2-3 weeks. A zip drive for download will then be sent. Feel free to share your images at this point!
Depending on which investment option you choose, you will receive between 20 images (see Sounds So Sweet) to a full gallery of over 80 images (see Get Out of the Grey) presented in an online gallery for you to download. Additional images and package upgrades are also available for purchase
You don't need to be super matchy matchy, yet somewhat coordinated outfits in mostly neutral tones work great. Adding a pop or two of bold colors enhance your style. All of my clients currently receive access to a free online styling tool upon booking! See @style_and_select on IG for more info.
A retainer of 50% is required to secure your date. Remainder is due on the day of the session.
I love sharing the images I create. Sharing helps my small business a TON. And if for any reason, your family would rather opt out, please let me know and your wish is my command!
